Fear and loathing in Las Vegas. May 2012.
The only way to prepare for a trip like this, I felt, was to dress up like human peacocks and get crazy, then screech off across the desert and cover the story. Never lose sight of the primary responsibility-Hunter S. Thompson
The road trip that ended in Vegas, the city of bright lights, decadence and fantasy. The glamour of grand casinos and hotels. Downtown wedding chapels, seedy bars and cheap motels. Strip showgirls, impersonators, and buskers. Sense of time lost in the streets of New York, Paris and Rome. Then to the Circus and the Greatest Show on Earth.A little bit of this town goes a very long way. After five days in Vegas, you feel like you’ve been here for five years….
